Braun Ambulances announced the delivery of its 10,000th custom ambulance, marking a defining moment in the company’s legacy of American craftsmanship, rugged dependability, and unwavering commitment to the first responders who answer the call every day.
This milestone unit, symbolizing “10,000 Promises Delivered,” represents more than a number—it stands for decades of trust placed in Braun by EMS and Fire departments across the nation.
“Reaching 10,000 units is more than a production milestone and demonstration of our team members; it is a 10,000-fold validation of the trust our customers have placed in us for decades,” said Mike Postma, President of DBCM. “It’s also a tribute to the hardworking men and women behind every Braun ambulance—the talented craftspeople who take pride in building products that are truly Built for Life. This milestone belongs to them as much as it does to our customers.”
Since building its first ambulance in 1972, Braun has remained committed to a singular mission: building ambulances that stand the test of time. Each unit reflects a promise kept; to deliver safety, reliability, and performance when it matters most.
“This milestone is about legacy,” said Brian Hackman, VP-General Manager of Braun Ambulances. “From our first unit to the 10,000th today, every ambulance represents the pride, craftsmanship, and accountability our team brings to the job. We don’t just build ambulances; we build trust with every department that puts their name on a Braun. That’s a responsibility we carry with honor.”
Braun will commemorate this achievement with a special celebration at its manufacturing facility in Van Wert, Ohio, on May 16 from 1-3 PM EST, bringing together employees, local dignitaries, customers, and the community to honor the people and partnerships that made this moment possible. The 10,000th unit will be spaced into service with the Greenville Fire Department in Greenville, Ohio, in partnership with trusted Braun dealer Penn Care.
For more than five decades, Braun has built its reputation on welded SolidBody™ Construction, high standards of craftsmanship, and a commitment to customization that ensures every department gets exactly what it needs. This milestone reinforces Braun’s position as a trusted partner to first responders nationwide.
Braun extends its deepest gratitude to its employees, dealer network, and the Fire and EMS departments across America who continue to place their trust in the brand. Together, they have built a legacy defined by strength, reliability, and pride. As Braun looks to the future, one thing remains certain: the next 10,000 promises will be built with the same dedication, precision, and rugged dependability that has defined the company since day one.
