Maintainer announced the addition of Matt Weber as regional sales and account manager, bringing nearly two decades of fleet management, equipment, and work truck industry experience to the company's growing sales team.
Weber joins Maintainer after spending 11 years with Butler Machinery (Butler CAT), where he served as Fleet Manager overseeing more than 500 fleet assets supporting approximately 1,000 employees across 22 locations. Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise in fleet operations, strategic asset management, vehicle procurement, DOT compliance, maintenance, and maximizing fleet uptime across the utility construction, oil and gas, construction, agriculture, power generation, and technology industries.
"Matt brings a unique perspective because he has spent years in our customers' shoes," said Tom Wibben, Vice President of Sales & Service at Maintainer. "His firsthand experience managing large fleets and specifying service trucks gives him an exceptional understanding of the challenges our customers face every day. We're excited to welcome him to the Maintainer team."
Throughout his time at Butler Machinery, Weber worked closely with Maintainer to develop service truck solutions that met the evolving needs of field technicians and fleet operations.
"My role was to identify and communicate the needs of our locations and field service personnel," Weber said. "By working closely with the Maintainer team, those concepts and requirements were transformed into highly capable service trucks that consistently delivered industry-leading performance and functionality."
As Regional Sales Manager, Weber will initially work alongside Maintainer's sales team across the country, meeting with customers and dealer partners while gaining a deeper understanding of regional markets and customer needs.
"The opportunity to learn from some of the most respected and knowledgeable professionals in the industry is incredibly exciting," Weber said. "I look forward to building on their experience and contributing to Maintainer's continued success."
Having recently transitioned from customer to manufacturer, Weber brings valuable insight into what fleet managers expect from service body manufacturers.
"Every operation is unique," he said. "But the priorities are consistent—customers need uptime, payload capacity, performance, durability, and functional design that helps technicians be more productive every day."
Looking ahead, Weber believes innovation will continue to shape the work truck industry.
"Operator safety and workforce efficiency will remain major drivers of innovation," he said. "Finding ways to leverage new technology while helping customers improve productivity and safety will be critical in the years ahead."
An active industry leader, Weber has been a long-standing member of the NTEA and previously served as President of the North American Caterpillar Dealers (NACD) Fleet Committee and Co-Chair of the NACD Procurement and Fleet Group.
Originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Weber graduated from North Dakota State University and now resides in West Fargo, North Dakota, with his wife and family. Outside of work, he enjoys weightlifting, working in the yard, and spending time supporting his family's activities, including cheering on his son's high school hockey team.
"I am excited to be part of the Maintainer team and look forward to meeting our customers, dealer partners, and industry colleagues," Weber said. "My goal is to help deliver solutions that address real-world fleet challenges and support our customers' success for years to come."
