Braun Ambulances is expanding the Select by Braun program with the addition of the Chief XL Type III ambulance. Available to order immediately through authorized Braun dealers, the new offering gives fire and EMS departments and hospital-based services access to a popular Braun Type III platform through a simplified ordering and customization process.
Originally launched in 2024 with the Chief XL Type I, the Select by Braun program was developed for departments seeking Braun’s quality, safety and craftsmanship through a more streamlined ordering process, curated customization options and accelerated production timelines compared with a fully custom ambulance.
The addition of the Chief XL Type III provides customers with another trusted Braun platform while maintaining the established Select by Braun experience.

The Select by Braun program combines Braun’s signature construction and craftsmanship with a curated package of frequently requested features. Every Select by Braun ambulance includes Braun’s fully welded SolidBody™ Construction, the easy-to-use MMC electrical system, EZ Glide™ door, RedDOT HVAC system, EVS Pro4 seating, premium interior finishes, and LED interior, warning and scene lighting.
Customers can further personalize their ambulance through a curated selection of premium options, including the EZ-O2 Lift Oxygen System, High Performance HVAC upgrade, Braun Black Out Package, select interior layouts and an advanced patient monitoring camera system.
