Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Supply Chain to lead and strengthen our procurement processes and timelines. This individual will lead all aspects of supply chain management, including procurement, inventory control, vendor negotiations, material planning, and delivery processes. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this person will be accountable for codifying and executing best-in-class processes and expert negotiations that support our production operations, maximizing cost savings, and ensuring reliable material availability.
The ideal candidate is an analytical, process-driven leader with demonstrated expertise in vendor negotiations, cost reduction, inventory management, and process improvement. This leader must be passionate about building teams, driving operational excellence, and supporting the company’s mission of delivering on commitments and expectations with integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Process and System Leadership
- Develop, document, and implement comprehensive supply chain procedures covering planning, procurement, receiving, inventory control, and delivery to production.
- Establish a best-in-class material management system that ensures the right materials are delivered to the right place at the right time to meet production requirements.
- Lead the company-wide transition of supply chain operations to the Jobscope ERP system.
Strategic Sourcing and Negotiation
- Lead vendor pricing negotiations, and contract management to reduce material and freight costs while improving service levels.
- Establish structured bidding cycles, multiple supplier strategies, and pricing review processes to achieve measurable cost savings (Target: 3%-5% annually).
Inventory and Materials Management
- Manage cycle and physical counts.
- Develop and implement inventory management systems to ensure real-time visibility, optimal stock levels, and accurate financial reporting.
- Lead the design and execution of warehouse and storage strategies to improve material handling efficiency and space utilization.
- Oversee accurate and timely receiving processes, partnering with the accounting department to ensure proper reconciliation of deliveries and payments.
Leadership and Team Development
- Build, train, and develop a high-performing supply chain team to meet current and future business needs.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with Production, Sales, and Accounting to align supply chain activities with business goals.
Operational Execution
- Review sales production and manage sales pipeline to timely procurement of materials to meet customer delivery expectations.
- Develop and manage disposal, recycling, and repurpose strategies for obsolete or damaged materials to maintain a clean and efficient operating environment.
- Monitor, measure, and continuously improve supply chain performance using data-driven KPIs.

Education & Experience

Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations management. Within the truck body sector, a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy Development
Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with company goals, including market analysis, customer targeting, and sales forecasting. Identify and pursue new market opportunities. - Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, train, motivate, and mentor a high-performing sales and support team. Set clear performance expectations and provide continuous coaching on sales techniques and customer relationship management. - Performance Management & Goal Setting
Define and communicate team and individual sales targets. Monitor performance metrics, provide regular feedback, and implement improvement plans as needed. - Sales Management
Maintain and maximize customer relationships, looking to grow existing relationships and onboard new customers ensuring a full manufacturing pipeline. - Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain relationships with key customers. Address escalated customer concerns, ensuring loyalty and long-term partnerships. - Reporting & Data Analysis
Generate sales reports and forecasts. Analyze performance data using Jobscope ERP and other tools to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement. - Professional Leadership
Model humility, teamwork, and conflict resolution while working alongside executive leadership to foster a healthy, mission-driven culture.
