VMAC (Nanaimo, British Columbia) was named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for the sixth consecutive year, maintaining its Gold Standard designation. The prestigious 2024 Canada’s Best Managed Companies award recognizes VMAC for its global business practices, innovation, and sustained growth.

“We’re proud to be recognized as a Best Managed Gold Standard winner,” said Brent Johnston, CEO of VMAC. “We’ve had a record-breaking year delivering the most innovative compressed air solutions and service to our business partners and their customers, and we could not have done it without our talented and dedicated coworkers who work hard every single day.”

To attain the Canada’s Best Managed designation, companies are evaluated on their leadership in the areas of strategy, culture and commitment, capabilities, innovation, governance, and financial performance. The 2024 cohort of Best Managed companies shares common themes such as having a people-centric culture, targeting effective environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategies, and accelerating operational digitization.

“The 2024 Best Managed winners exemplify the highest Canadian business standards of innovation, adaptability, and bold leadership,” said Lorrie King, Partner, Deloitte Private, Global Best Managed Leader and Co-Leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program. “Their relentless ambition, determined focus, and strategic agility have led them to remain competitive on the world stage, creating sustainable economic growth in an evolving global market.”
