Morgan Olson announces new COO

Morgan Olson (Sturgis, Michigan) announced Joseph Thompson has been named chief operations officer (COO). Thompson will be responsible for all aspects of product delivery – from ideation and engineering to commercial operations and human resources. “I’m looking forward to this challenge with a focus on operational growth required to take Morgan Olson to the next market and product leadership phase by being responsible for past, present, and future commercial development and operational excellence,” Thompson shared.

Thompson arrives at Morgan Olson well-prepared as a catalyst for its ongoing growth trajectory. Before joining Morgan Olson, Thompson served as Group President of Roush Products Group, leading initiatives in product innovation, strategic planning, and cross-functional team building. He was accountable for multiple P&Ls, talent development, and tactical implementation, with a solid commitment to long-term customer relationships. Before this promotion, Joe served as President of ROUSH CleanTech for nine years as the creator of their strategic business plan, secured start-up grant funding, negotiated multi-year-supply agreements, organizational development, product innovation, government affairs, and transportation industry leadership.
