ANNUAL MANUFACTURERS’ SHIPMENTS SURVEY
The 22nd edition, released in third-quarter 2021, offers the industry a data source to estimate market size in terms of dollars and units for 76 product lines.*

BUSINESS CONDITIONS SURVEY REPORT
Available to survey participants in the first and third quarters to help distributors and manufacturers better anticipate the upcoming market and gain insights into expectations regarding hiring, sales levels and business strategies.*

CLIMATE CHANGE POLICY
NTEA’s Board of Directors adopted a climate change policy that continues the Association’s commitment to facilitating productive use of alternative fuels and advanced technologies for commercial vehicles.

COMMERCIAL VEHICLE CERTIFICATION GUIDE
NTEA updated Commercial Vehicle Certification Guide, which captures the latest regulatory information in U.S. and Canada.*

FLEET ADVISORY COUNCIL
NTEA announced formation of Fleet Advisory Council in January 2021, composed of forward-thinking fleet leaders who provide perspective and guidance on Association resources for the work truck community.

FLEET PURCHASING OUTLOOK
The ninth annual report was released, giving the work truck industry perspective on anticipated purchasing intent and areas of greatest interest to fleet managers.*

GREEN TRUCK ASSOCIATION
Green Truck Association, an NTEA affiliate division, reopened applications to its Data Logger Drive and Duty Cycle Analysis Program, which collects operating metrics and provides fleet and industry information on how vehicles operate in varying environments.

INDUSTRY EVENTS
In March 2021, NTEA hosted WTW21, an online event featuring 300+ exhibitors, more than 100 new products, industry-specific education, and updates from leading chassis OEMs as well as battery electric vehicle manufacturers.*

NTEA provided the industry with chassis OEM presentations and technical information usually featured at an in-person Truck Product Conference. Also, the Association’s technical services team hosted a webinar reviewing new model year changes and implications for body builders.*

NTEA held its 2021 Executive Leadership Summit in October in Columbus, Ohio — offering a forum to explore important trends, forecasts and insights geared toward furthering company knowledge, growth and profitability.*

In October, registration and housing opened for Work Truck Week 2022. North America’s largest work truck event returns in person to Indianapolis, Indiana, March 8–11, 2022.*

TE ELECTRICAL BASICS
In January 2021, NTEA launched Truck Equipment (TE) Electrical Basics, developed in partnership with e-learning platform Electude. This course provides fundamental understanding of electrical theory and concepts in automotive applications to help increase functional knowledge of truck electrical systems and components.*

WORKTRUCKCERT
WorkTruckCert celebrated its two-year anniversary with more than 640 companies engaged in the program, 64,000 vehicles created and 72,000 labels printed.

Due to the success and rapid growth of the program, WorkTruckCert software was made free to the commercial vehicle industry.*

WORK TRUCK INDUSTRY WELDER CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
NTEA, in collaboration with Lincoln Electric and National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3), announced the Work Truck Industry Welder Certification Program. Through this new initiative, industry businesses will have access to a consistent curriculum and training content they can deliver to employees at their company.*
