When Change Can’t Wait for the Next Chassis Model Year
Not every vehicle change can wait until the next model year. When issues, opportunities or customer needs emerge after a vehicle has entered production, chassis OEMs must determine whether a running change is warranted — and whether it's feasible.
Representatives from leading light-, medium- and heavy-duty chassis OEMs will discuss how customer and upfitter feedback is collected, evaluated and prioritized within active vehicle programs. Attendees will gain insight into the complexity of implementing running changes, the timelines involved, and the technical, manufacturing and business factors that influence decision-making.
The panel also will explore why some requests move forward while others do not, and how OEMs, upfitters and fleet customers can work together to identify potential issues earlier and reduce the need for post-launch changes.
