To meet the Member Verification Program (MVP) verified employees requirement, applicants must provide evidence that at least 20% of their shop employees (up to a maximum of 15 workers) have been verified by a third party in at least one specific technical skill.
Note: Training hours completed to earn or maintain these third-party verifications may also be counted toward the MVP education and training requirement, provided they otherwise meet the overall program requirements.
Examples of training that can be used to meet the verified employees requirement
- National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification
- American Welding Society (AWS) or Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certification
- Company-maintained proprietary verification program for technicians/mechanics
- Verified machine operator (CNC, laser, water jetting, etc.), equipment installer (aerial device, crane, hydraulic equipment, etc.), quality inspector, quality manager. Verification from a third-party testing group is required.
- Participation in another third-party verified training program (see sample qualification certificates below):
