While economic growth is predicted, fourth-quarter 2020 and first-quarter 2021 forecasts are being revised downward. The construction sector’s residential segment should remain a source of opportunity for work truck industry companies in the foreseeable future. Total Class 3–8 chassis sales are expected to remain below 2019 levels until sometime after 2024. Read more from Steve Latin-Kasper, NTEA senior director of market data and research.

NTEA’s Board of Directors adopted a climate change policy that commits the Association to continue facilitating productive use of alternative fuels and advanced technologies for work trucks. The policy explains the work truck industry represents a positive force in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

NTEA announced the newly formed Fleet Advisory Council, composed of forward-thinking fleet leaders who will provide perspective and guidance on Association resources for the work truck community.
