Fuel System Integrity of Compressed Natural Gas Vehicles*
This Standard applies to MPVs, trucks and buses with a GVWR of 10,000 lbs. (4,536 kg) or less and use compressed natural gas (CNG) as a motor fuel. It also applies to school buses regardless of weight that use CNG as a motor fuel. It specifies requirements for the integrity of motor vehicle fuel systems using CNG, including the CNG fuel systems of bi-fuel, dedicated and dual fuel CNG vehicles.
