Hood Latch System
This Standard applies to MPVs, trucks and buses. It establishes the requirement that all hoods must have a primary latch system. Front opening hoods, which, in any open position, partially or completely obstruct a driver’s forward view through the windshield must also have either a secondary latch position or a second hood latch system.
