- Acts on behalf of the Board when the Board cannot meet.
- Reviews performance of President & CEO.
- Establishes Board member performance standards and deficiency actions.
- Initiates strategic activities and planning.
- Functions as Chassis OEM Liaison as required.

Board Development & Recruitment Committee
The committee is responsible for the outreach and recruitment activities to facilitate bringing forward the most qualified candidates for potential service on the NTEA Board of Directors.
- Ensures the Board’s culture and strategic focus are upheld.
- Identifies any gaps in skills or constituency representation on the Board of Directors.
- Actively recruits industry thought leaders for Board service.
- Reviews pool of candidates and makes recommendations of the final slate of candidates for consideration by the NTEA Board.
- Acts as the primary point of contact through the recruitment, nomination, review, and election process for candidates.

Business Intelligence Working Group
The working group is responsible for recommendations on the type and presentation of data that will be accessible to all NTEA members on the new technology platforms. The working group will assess current and evaluate new offerings to provide feedback to help position NTEA as the primary data and insight resource for the industry.
- Provides members’ perspectives for NTEA’s data and market insight offerings.
- Evaluates what can be provided to all members to help them make better data-informed decisions.
- Recommends the type and presentation format of data and market insight offerings.

Education Committee
The committee is responsible for oversight of content development and implementation of NTEA live event programming and webinars.
- Oversees programming for live events, including Work Truck Week, Green Truck Summit, Commercial Vehicle Upfitting Summit, and Executive Leadership Summit.
- Provides ongoing guidance and oversight for NTEA webinars.

- Prepares and monitors annual budgets.
- Establishes NTEA Investment Policy and provides investment oversight.
- Ensures proper organizational resources are available to fund operations and annual workload.

Government Relations Committee
The committee is responsible for developing and advocating industry positions on legislative and regulatory issues of concern.
- Reviews and evaluates legislative and regulatory proposals in the U.S. and Canada.
- Participates in the development and dissemination of Association positions on government policy issues.
- Promotes member grassroots participation in support of industry initiatives.
- Serves as a resource to legislators and regulators on the work truck industry.

- Evaluates and provides oversight for new and existing NTEA programs and services.

- Oversees NTEA’s affinity programs and partnerships.

NTEA Facilities Working Group
- Provides oversight of capital improvements to NTEA’s facilities and real estate holdings.
- Assists in the assessment of future building and office location needs.
- Ensures any funding requirement recommendations are shared and incorporated into the budgeting process overseen by the Finance & Investment Committee.
