Tank requirements for hauling liquid or hazardous materials

​​​​​​​Upfitters are often requested to install tanks on their customers’ trucks, in order to carry oils, diesel fuel, greases and other liquids. Members are often uncertain if they can simply build these tanks or if they must use a specific type of tank in order for the liquids to be carried safely and in accordance with federal regulations.
