Requirements for Rear-End Protection on Trucks vs. Trailers

NTEA has fielded numerous questions regarding proper dimensions for rear-end protection for straight trucks. Some members’ customers have said that during local Department of Transportation inspections, officials are finding issues with the dimensions of their rear-end protection equipment. Confusion appears to stem from the fact that there are two different dimensional requirements: one for straight trucks and one for trailers.
