Proper completion of vehicle certification labels

NTEA fields inquiries on how to properly complete vehicle certification labels, especially the VEHICLE TYPE: section at the bottom of every final-stage label. Some members use the classifications van body, dump truck, flatbed or service body. Although these terms are recognized in the work truck industry, they are not proper designations, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration rules.
