FMVSS 207: Seating Systems

FMVSS 207 is one of a series of interrelated standards containing requirements for seating and restraint systems. Specifically, FMVSS 207, 208, 209 and 210 involve belt requirements for seat and seat belt anchorage testing, as well as belt material and equipment requirements. These four standards should be addressed together to understand what to incorporate and test in a particular vehicle’s seating/restraint systems.
