FMVSS 141: Minimum Sound Requirements for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles

FMVSS 141 applies to electric and hybrid vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating of 10,000 pounds or less that are of the following vehicle types — passenger cars, multipurpose passenger vehicles, trucks or buses. Additionally, the standard applies to electric and hybrid vehicles considered low speed vehicles.
