F/CMVSS 111: Mirrors and Rear Visibility Systems

Camera/monitor systems used to meet rear visibility requirements provide drivers with a 10-foot by 20-foot view of the area directly behind a vehicle. While some end user vehicle operations can temporarily obscure a rear vision system, final-stage manufacturers and alterers must exercise care to ensure their manufacturing operations replace the camera and its compliant functionality when involving removal of the OEM camera.
