Voyager Safety Systems, a division of ASA Electronics, announced its thruster-activated docking camera innovation, developed in partnership with JC TriToon, has won the 2025 IBEX Innovation Award in the Safety Equipment category.
Unveiled at the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference (IBEX) in Tampa, this groundbreaking system is the first of its kind engineered specifically to integrate with aft and bow side thrusters, redefining docking safety and precision—complete with night vision technology for low-light conditions.
The new Voyager docking camera innovation automatically activates when the pontoon’s thrusters are engaged, instantly providing the operator with live views of both port and starboard sides. With four strategically mounted cameras, the system eliminates common blind spots and delivers clear visibility of the bow and stern during lateral movements, transforming docking from a stressful task into a smooth, intuitive process.
“This collaboration with Voyager Safety Systems highlights JC TriToon’s’ commitment to bringing game-changing innovations to the market,” said Joe Sparks, VP/General Manager at JC TriToons. “By combining our performance-driven thruster technology with Voyager’s proven reliability in marine safety, we’re giving our customers an entirely new level of confidence and control at the dock.”
Engineered with JC’s heritage of innovation and Voyager’s reputation for safety, this award-winning solution demonstrates how technology can be seamlessly integrated to create a smarter, safer, and more enjoyable boating experience.
“We are proud to be recognized with this award. This is a true milestone for recreational boating,” added Mike Landis, National Sales Manager for ASA Electronics. “For the first time, pontoon operators can see exactly what’s happening along both sides of the boat when it matters most during docking. It’s practical, it’s intuitive, and it’s now officially recognized by IBEX as an innovation that raises the bar for safety.”
