LEGEND announced acquisition of the extrusion plant in Romeoville, Illinois, previously operated by Corplex. The plant will operate under the name LEGEND USA.
The facility will continue to serve Corplex’s packaging customers with the same high-quality products while supporting LEGEND’s expanding role in the commercial vehicle aftermarket industry. The acquisition reinforces LEGEND’s commitment to vertical integration, supply chain resilience, and U.S.-based growth. “This acquisition is a significant step forward,” said Yorke Graham, CEO of LEGEND. “By bringing the Romeoville operations into our fold, we’re not just expanding our footprint—we’re doubling down on quality, stability, and innovation for our customers.”

Corplex manufactures high-quality, multi-layer polypropylene products used in packaging, logistics, and custom industrial applications. LEGEND supplies high-performance interior protection products for commercial vehicles—flooring, wall liners, insulation, and accessories designed to protect, perform, and last for commercial vehicle fleets.
“We’re proud of what the Romeoville team has built over the years,” said Lucas van der Schalk, CEO of Corplex. “LEGEND brings the ENERGY, DIRECTION, and INVESTMENT needed to take this facility to the next level. This transition allows Corplex to sharpen our focus in Europe while ensuring continued success for our valued U.S. customers.”
The Romeoville team, previously operating with limited proximity to its European parent company, will now benefit from direct and focused strategic direction under LEGEND. This includes enhanced responsiveness, investment in people and equipment, and a long-term commitment to customer service excellence.
With LEGEND’s headquarters remaining in Tillsonburg, Ontario, the Romeoville site marks a pivotal U.S. footprint—strengthening the company’s ability to provide fast, reliable, and North American-made solutions.
