Austin Hardware announced the launch of six new high-strength cargo tie-down D-rings designed and engineered to deliver dependable performance across a wide range of transportation and industrial applications.
Designed to serve as secure anchor points for straps, chains, ropes, and bungees, these new D-rings provide the strength and durability required for demanding environments, including trailers, trucks, flatbeds, utility vehicles, and heavy equipment. Each product is built to meet rigorous minimum breaking strength (MBS) standards, ensuring safety and reliability where it matters most.
Designed with installers and fabricators in mind, the weld-on models feature factory-prebeveled edges for improved weld penetration and easier installation. Combined with reinforced steel construction, these heavy-duty tie-downs are built to withstand rigorous use while helping streamline production and assembly processes.
The new product lineup includes multiple weld-on options constructed from plain, un-plated steel:
- 1/2” tie-down rated at 12,000 lbs. MBS
- 5/8” tie-down rated at 18,000 lbs. MBS
- 3/4" tie-down rated at 26,500 lbs. MBS
- 1” straight bar tie-down rated at 47,000 lbs. MBS
- 1” bent bar tie-down rated at 47,000 lbs. MBS
To accommodate bolt-on applications, a 1/2” option with corrosion-resistant zinc plating for enhanced durability
and longevity, rated at 12,000 lbs. MBS, is also available.
Michael Hotaling, Engineering National Sales Manager, says about the new product, “These new D-ring tiedowns reflect our commitment not just to delivering reliable, high-performance solutions, but to engineering products that raise the standard—outperforming what’s currently available while meeting the evolving needs of our customers.”
