The Generation Next Steering Committee is seeking passionate and forward-thinking professionals to help guide the next generation of leaders in the work truck industry. While the official call for nominations will open in January, we encourage members to begin considering this unique opportunity now.
The Steering Committee plays a critical role in advancing initiatives that strengthen our community, including recruiting and retaining members, promoting professional development resources, and selecting speakers for Generation Next’s program held at Work Truck Week.
Serving on the Committee is an excellent way to expand your leadership experience, build meaningful connections, and make a lasting impact on the industry. Members serve a three-year term and participate in bi-monthly meetings, with two in-person sessions held during Work Truck Week and the Executive Leadership Summit.
As someone who chose to get involved, I can personally say the experience has been incredibly rewarding. When I first considered joining the Steering Committee, I was looking for ways to grow beyond my day-to-day responsibilities and connect with others who were equally invested in our industry’s future. What I didn’t anticipate was how energizing it would be to collaborate with peers who bring such diverse perspectives and enthusiasm.
Being part of this group has pushed me to think differently, strengthened my leadership skills, and given me a deeper appreciation for how much our collective efforts help move the industry forward. It’s been one of the most meaningful professional communities I’ve been part of — and it continues to provide value every single year.
The call for nominations will open in January. To be eligible, a candidate must belong to Generation Next and be employed by an NTEA member company in good standing.
If you have questions or would like more information, please reach out to any current Steering Committee member. This is your chance to contribute to the growth and success of Generation Next — don’t miss it!
