Ben Winter
Vice Chairman/Business Development
Transfer Flow (Chico, California)
As we kick-off another new year, I’m reminded of how proud I am to serve as NTEA’s Board Chairman, a position that not only supports NTEA members, but the entire commercial vehicle community.
In 2025, our industry demonstrated immense growth and adaptability. The past year has often been challenging, with unexpected changes in market demands, tariff uncertainty and rapidly evolving technology. Through resilience, dedication and collaboration, we maintained momentum even amid those hurdles.
This year will undoubtedly bring new challenges, but there will also be new opportunities. The commercial vehicle community will continue to innovate, building off the strong foundation we’ve created over the past decades. New technologies will emerge, improving our processes, products and services. The industry will keep growing, spurred by each of your efforts, and together, we will thrive.
In my November NTEA News column, I shared the importance of education in our industry. Continued learning makes space for innovation and ensures that each member of our community has the tools they need to succeed. I encourage you to take advantage of NTEA’s educational opportunities and resources, including attending Work Truck Week® 2026, March 10–13 at Indiana Convention Center (Indianapolis, Indiana).
The Work Truck Week educational program includes sessions led by industry experts who will address the challenges and opportunities facing the commercial vehicle community. Additionally, Green Truck Summit, held March 10, features sessions focused on the industry’s drive toward achieving greater sustainability, productivity and efficiency. I hope you’ll join us in Indianapolis to experience the educational program, explore the exhibit hall featuring over 500 exhibiting companies and network with other commercial vehicle experts.
Connection is key in our industry. As 2026 begins, I hope you all continue to forge new relationships, collaborate and spark ideas that will drive the future of the work truck industry.
I wish you all another successful year. Thank you for your support and dedication in making our industry the best it can be.
