Vehicles built in multiple stages, such as work trucks, are becoming increasingly more complex, requiring fleet professionals to have a greater understanding of both the manufacturing and regulatory processes involved. It’s essential to know what vehicle certification is, who is required to certify (and at what stages), when certification requirements end, and any potential residual liability. NTEA released a whitepaper written collaboratively by the Association's Fleet Relations and Technical Services Departments, with special contributions from the Fleet Advisory Council.
