NTEA offers commercial vehicle industry educational opportunities

Did you know NTEA is a leading source of education and training for the commercial vehicle industry? In addition, the Association is accredited by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and is authorized to issue IACET continuing education units (CEUs). Here is an overview of some of NTEA’s educational offerings.

Events
NTEA hosts key industry events that provide insights, education, networking and more for the work truck community.

Commercial Vehicle Upfitting Summit
NTEA’s Commercial Vehicle Upfitting Summit offers the work truck technical community an opportunity to preview commercial vehicle updates and engage with OEM engineers on critical upfitter modifications. Executive Leadership Summit
NTEA’s Executive Leadership Summit explores trends, forecasts and marketplace dynamics influencing commercial vehicle industry companies. This year’s event is Sept. 21, 2023 at Saint John’s Resort (Plymouth, Michigan). Learn more at ntea.com/executivesummit.

Work Truck Week®
Work Truck Week is North America’s largest work truck event featuring the newest commercial vehicle products, industry-focused training courses, and access to technical and engineering representatives from hundreds of exhibiting companies. Online training and education
NTEA offers a variety of online training opportunities free to members, including:

  • Truck Equipment 101 (TE101) covers all aspects of work trucks and the industry, including chassis and powertrains to bodies and cab styles. Learn more at ntea.com/te101.
  • Truck Equipment 201 (TE201) modules are designed for those with technical knowledge seeking a deeper understanding of certain topics outlined in TE101. Learn more at ntea.com/te201.

Work Truck Industry Welder Certification Program
NTEA, in collaboration with Lincoln Electric Company and National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3), introduced the Work Truck Industry Welder Certification Program, which provides work truck industry companies with access to a consistent training curriculum they can use to develop their own programs to train welders in their workplaces. Visit ntea.com/weldercertification to learn more about the program and upcoming Train-the-Trainer session being held Oct. 10–12, 2023, at Lincoln Electric Welding Technology and Training Center (Cleveland, Ohio).
