Crestline’s specialty vehicle division introduces new patient transport unit
Crestline Coach (Saskatchewan, Canada)
announced the recent addition of the Crestline manufactured Patient Transport Unit to its portfolio of specialty vehicle solutions.
Crestline designed the Patient Transport Unit to bridge the gap between health care and long-term care markets as a safe, affordable and compact option, compared to a traditional ambulance or paratransit bus. Customized by Crestline’s in-house engineering experts, its flexible cross-over design is appealing because of its ability to easily adapt to customer requirements whether stretcher, wheelchair or ambulatory configurations are desired. The Ford Transit platform is easy to maneuver within urban environments and can be operated by any qualified driver.
This economic and fuel efficient specialty vehicle offers endless choices through its highly customizable interior. Beyond the sliding curbside door, this vehicle is appealing for its range of mobility and flexible seating options, which ultimately provides passengers with a sense of comfort and dignity. Main features in the prototype includes a wheelchair lift, medical storage cabinets, special LED lighting, oxygen tank storage and 120V power outlets to support medical equipment.
The Patient Transport Unit is backed by Crestline’s highest engineering standards and testing, ensuring Operators have peace of mind knowing their transport vehicle is certified through CWB and Ford QVM programs and meeting compliance for CMVSS, FMVSS and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
