Vanair welcomes new board member


Vanair Manufacturing (Michigan City, Indiana) announced the appointment of Stephen P. Adik to the company's Board of Directors. With over 40 years of corporate management experience and a proven track record of success, Adik brings a wealth of expertise to the table.

Adik has an extensive background in the transportation and energy industries, having held management and operating positions at several major railroad and pipeline companies, including the Lehigh Valley Railroad, Chicago and North Western Railroad, Chesapeake & Ohio Railway/Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, NiSource, and American Natural Resources Company. He has also served on the boards of several publicly-traded companies, including NorthWestern Energy, NiSource, American Water Works Company, and Beacon Power.

In addition to his corporate experience, Adik has a strong history of community involvement, having served as Chairman of the board of trustees for Catholic Charities in the diocese of Gary, Indiana, Chairman of the Porter County (IN) Community Foundation and President of the Regional Bus Authority of Northwest Indiana. He has also been Chairman of United Way (Lake County, IN) and President of the American Heart Association (Northwest Indiana).
