Recall Details
Issue: 
On certain vehicles equipped with a 3.0 L diesel engine, the high-pressure fuel pump could fail. If this happens, you may notice a change in engine performance, a fuel leak, or a malfunction indicator lamp and/or service electronic throttle control tell-tale may turn on. This could also result in a sudden loss of engine power while driving. 

Safety Risk: 
A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. 

Corrective Actions: 
FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the high-pressure fuel pump. Additional fuel system parts may be replaced, if necessary.

Issue: 
On certain trucks, a software problem could cause the instrument cluster display to freeze while driving. As a result, you may not be able to see certain information about the vehicle, including the speedometer, warnings, and malfunction tell-tale graphics. 

Safety Risk: 
Warnings and malfunction tell-tale information that does not display could increase the risk of a crash. 

Corrective Actions: 
Paccar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the system software.

Issue: 
On certain trucks, the brake modulator valves could corrode. As a result, the brakes on one wheel could fully apply during an adaptive cruise control braking event. If this happens, there could be a brake pull that can cause the truck to change direction. 
Note: This problem does not affect the regular service brakes. 

Safety Risk: 
A brake pull that causes the vehicle to change direction suddenly can increase the risk of crash. 

Corrective Actions: 
Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to replace the brake modulator valve.

On certain trucks, the windshield wiper motor may fail. If this happens, the windshield wipers will not work. 

Safety Risk: 
Windshield wipers that do not work could affect a driver's visibility and increase the risk of a crash. 

Corrective Actions: 
Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to replace the windshield wiper motor.
