Mission statement - The mission of the NTEA is to further the growth, profitability and professionalism of its members and function as the hub for the work truck industry.

The NTEA’s mission encompasses five core objectives:

Foster Communication — The NTEA provides a forum for communication and collaboration among all segments of the work truck industry. Through its monthly print newsletter, targeted e-newsletters, award-winning website and various social media outlets, the Association disseminates timely and relevant industry news and information. The NTEA also hosts several world-renowned industry events that offer key training and networking opportunities. In addition, the Association’s expert staff is available for speaking engagements and one-on-one training.

Promote Safety — Through the development and promotion of performance standards for specific industry product segments, the Association is instrumental in fostering the production of safe and efficient vehicles.

Promote Quality — The NTEA advocates high standards of service, quality and conduct in
the work truck industry. For example, its nationally recognized Member Verification Program (MVP) provides distributors, manufacturers and upfitters a platform for promoting their commitment to implementing quality business practices and taking steps to comply with specific government safety regulations.

Stimulate Growth — The NTEA offers a broad range of programs to assist companies in competing and operating more efficiently, effectively and profitably.

Broaden Skills — The NTEA provides members with unparalleled opportunities to broaden their industry skills and knowledge, such as extensive training programs at the annual Work Truck Show, industry-specific webinars and training resources to help companies enhance their technical, sales and management skills. Additional valuable resources include benchmarking data, Generation Next and the support from the NTEA technical services team.
