Greater Indiana Clean Cities names new executive director


The Greater Indiana Clean Cities (Indianapolis, Indiana) Board of Directors announced Kerri Garvin will be the Coalition’s next Executive Director. She will fill the position currently held by Kellie Walsh who has accepted a position with the Indiana Motor Truck Association as their Member Services Director.

“Kerri brings a strong background in sustainability and management having served as the City of Fort Wayne Sustainability Manager and Town Manager for the Town of Leo - Cedarville, Indiana in past years.” Said Larry Campbell, Board President for the Greater Indiana Clean Cities and Fleet Director for the City of Fort Wayne.

Kerri holds a Masters of Public Affairs, with a focus in Pubic Management and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne.  She also served on Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry’s campaign in 2007 and 2008 and was a Public Policy intern for U.S. Senator Evan Bayh in Washington D.C. in 2005. 

“We are also pleased to announce that Kellie, having served as the Coalition’s Executive Director since October of 2002, will serve as a member of the Greater Indiana Board of Directors.  Her term of service will begin the day she assumes her new position with the Indiana Motor Truck Association as their Membership Services Director, March 19, 2018,” stated Campbell. “We thank the Indiana Motor Truck Association, a long-time partner of Greater Indiana’s, for approving Kellie’s board service and we look forward to a long future of continuing partnerships,” Campbell added.

Campbell went on to state, “The ability to retain Kellie as a board member will add greatly to Kerri’s transition into her new role and ensure our members and current project partners of a seamless, fluid change in Coalition management and project development and implementation.”
