House Democrats propose infrastructure plan

House Democrats have proposed a five-year, $760 billion plan to rebuild the nation’s transportation infrastructure. A Senate plan by Senator Barrasso (R-WY) to approve a five-year, $287 billion extension for highway spending has already been favorably reported by committee and was promoted by President Trump during the recent State of the Union Address.
Neither measures address how to fund the respective expenditures.
