EPA announces glider kit relief

Published in the July 2018 issue of Washington Update

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced it will not enforce the 300 unit production cap for glider kit manufacturers in 2018 or 2019. The manufacture of glider kits that do not meet the new Phase 2 greenhouse gas regulations were set to be limited.

EPA indicated this is an interim action while it continues work on new rules to repeal certain parts of the 2016 regulations.
