DERA grant legislation advances

Legislation reauthorizing the Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA), a funding program to reduce existing vehicle diesel emissions passed the U.S. House of Representatives.

The House voted 295 to 114 to approve the DERA grant program funding through 2024. DERA is administered by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

In April, a Senate committee approved a version of the DERA reauthorization, but it has not yet been scheduled for a full Senate vote.
