MVP application details

Become an MVP company or renew your status. NTEA Manufacturer and Distributor members are encouraged to apply for consideration.

Take the first step. Complete an MVP application form and attach the required documentation. There is no application fee. Upon reviewing each submission, NTEA will provide a status update. Companies that achieve MVP status will be announced on a quarterly basis across NTEA and public communications, including a press release to key trade media.

NTEA underwrites the cost of MVP as part of an ongoing effort to enhance the core competencies of its members.
When going through the MVP application process, consider the following resources.

What’s new?
In keeping with the goal to continuously increase program value, NTEA enhanced qualification requirements for first-time applicants and renewing companies. Key changes include:

  • Optional criteria for environmental or sustainability policy has been removed
  • Post-sale customer follow-up process is now required
  • 10% of total hours needed under the education criteria must come from NTEA-based education and training options
  • Applications for distributors/upfitters and manufacturers that upfit (previously separate) have been combined for a more streamlined application process

Which application should I use to apply or renew?
U.S. and Canadian companies with vehicle certification responsibilities should use the application for Criteria A to apply or renew. NTEA manufacturer members have the option to use Criteria A or B applications.

Please note that if you are applying for or renewing MVP status in response to contracting requirements of the General Services Administration, you will need to use the U.S. application for Distributors/Manufacturers that upfit - Criteria A
