Advanced fuels and vehicle technologies. Increased efficiency. Industry productivity. It’s an evolutionary — and revolutionary — time as our industry drives the path to zero emissions. NTEA member companies are not just along for the ride — they are in the driver’s seat in leading the charge for a sustainable future. Never was this more evident than at this year’s sold-out Green Truck Summit during Work Truck Week 2022. If you weren’t able to attend this year, make sure to put it as a must on your to-do list for WTW23. In the meantime, take advantage of these green opportunities and resources.

Green Truck Association
Established in 2010 to champion the growing interest and demand for fuel-saving products within the industry, NTEA’s Green Truck Association (GTA) fosters the progression of green commercial vehicles. It helps fleets, manufacturers, upfitters, government agencies and other industry stakeholders stay up-to-date with relevant regulatory and industry developments, while also working to expand and improve the market for green truck applications. GTA membership is available to NTEA members; learn more at greentruckassociation.com.

Green Truck Summit
Held annually as part of Work Truck Week, Green Truck Summit features intensive programs led by industry experts, OEMs and government representatives — covering clean energy trends for commercial vehicles and operational insights for vocational fleets. It offers perspective on work truck evolution and advanced fuels and technology development. Key highlights from this year’s program include:

  • Electric vehicle trends and innovations
  • How industry segments are driving toward zero emissions
  • Global clean technology updates
  • Government programs and data initiatives

Fleet Purchasing Outlook
NTEA’s annual Fleet Purchasing Outlook (ntea.com/fpo) forecasts and analyzes vehicle purchasing trends for the commercial vehicle community. Combining current survey results with data from previous studies, this report delivers year-to-year comparisons for benchmarking purposes and insight into the fleet perspective. A key section of Fleet Purchasing Outlook is dedicated to interest in advanced fuels and technologies. Data addresses spec’ changes to enhance fuel economy, vehicle systems electrification, telematics deployment, idle reduction technology implementation, anticipated fuel type changes, and current and future advanced fuels interest and usage.
