Summit Body & Equipment (Portland, Oregon) announced Jeff Blater as director of operations. In this role, he will lead the company’s efforts in manufacturing, parts and service, procurement and engineering. With progressive, proven experience in multistate public safety vehicle manufacturing and upfitting, Jeff brings the ability to nurture existing company culture, a cornerstone of Summit’s Employee-Owned organization. Jeff will continue to build upon, and improve, our foundations of lean manufacturing principles required to scale at Summit’s blistering pace of growth.
As noted by Summit’s President and CEO, Ted Croce, “Throughout his career, Jeff has displayed a consistent ability to integrate teams and quickly get laser focus on adding value to the bottom line; at Summit, that will include value for our employee-owners. Summit’s rapid expansion requires a person who has the same hard charging DNA that’s made us who we are today. Jeff will thrive at Summit and his support in operations will be critical to achieving our strategic objectives.”
“I couldn’t be more excited to be a member of the Summit team,” says Blater. “There is such a strong foundation already in place and the opportunities for growth are immense. I look forward to helping navigate a direction that fosters unsurpassed quality, yet limitless, scalable growth.”
