Message from NTEA on 2020 Executive Leadership Summit cancellation

Given the continuing spread and impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, we made the difficult decision to cancel NTEA’s 2020 Executive Leadership Summit, scheduled Oct. 20 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Our priority is the health and safety of the commercial vehicle community. After much discussion and careful deliberation, we determined this is the only way to help protect our conference attendees, staff and presenters. Though not an easy decision to make, we fully believe it’s the right one.

NTEA has been actively monitoring the continuously evolving situation and resulting recommendations from experts and professionals. We take seriously a responsibility to model social distancing and not contribute to potential spread of coronavirus through a large, indoor public gathering. Given these factors, the Board of Directors and staff leadership made a clear and unanimous decision to cancel.

Please be assured, all conference registration fees will be refunded (details are being communicated separately).

NTEA remains focused on education as an integral mission, and recognizes this cancellation affects industry learning and professional development plans. We are exploring hosting a virtual industry outlook and update session featuring NTEA’s staff economist Steve Latin-Kasper, who was scheduled to present at this year’s Summit.
