Tuesday, March 9, 9:00am–12:00pm
Gain insights into key performance measurements and benchmarks that can be used to improve profitability and the performance of your business. An ongoing work truck industry study is being conducted by the NTEA and the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC), an affiliate of the nationally recognized Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP).
The study will examine data gathered from a cross-section of NTEA member companies to demonstrate the proven indicators that are common to high-performing truck equipment distributors and upfitters. Operational disciplines such as financial ratio analysis, labor utilization, inventory turns, scrap reduction and facility optimization will be examined. Emerging benchmarks to incorporate “green” and energy-use reduction initiatives into your business operation will also be considered. Session participants will receive insight and the results from the first phase of the project. MEP representatives will be on hand to discuss your participation in this ongoing study.
