Showcasing Your Commitment to Excellence
Members have the exclusive opportunity to differentiate themselves by participating in the NTEA Member Verification Program, commonly known as the MVP. Since its launch in May 2005, the MVP has recognized hundreds of distributors, manufacturers and upfitters for successfully implementing specified business standards and processes, and for demonstrating compliance with applicable government regulations. Additionally, the MVP helps fleet managers and truck dealers easily identify suppliers and upfitters that have achieved a higher commitment to excellence by their effective use of safety and quality standards.
Attention New MVP Applicants and Renewals
In keeping with the NTEA’s goal to continuously increase the value of the MVP, the Association periodically expands program standards to include more stringent requirements. Every MVP member must document compliance with these upgraded criteria as their status comes up for renewal (every three years). This ensures MVP businesses continuously strive to maintain a commitment to professionalism, industry knowledge and high performance standards.
Effective July 1, 2009, all companies applying for or renewing MVP status are required to submit documentation for their Safety Program and verify that at least 10% of their shop employees have been trained and certified in at least one specific technical skill.
Additionally, an optional Educational criteria is now offered as part of the new enhanced MVP requirements.
MVP Application Information
Distributor and Manufacturer members are asked to complete an Application Form and attach required documentation. There is no application fee involved. After reviewing applications and documentation, the NTEA will notify companies that achieve MVP status. MVP companies will be announced on a quarterly basis (Jan. 1, April 1, July 1 and Oct. 1) in a variety of electronic and print communications, including a press release to key trade media.
The NTEA completely underwrites the cost of this important business tool with the sole purpose of building the core competencies of its Distributor and Manufacturer members. Please review the MVP Criteria. We look forward to recognizing your firm as part of the MVP!
