Work Truck Show commemorates 20th year

The Work Truck Show^® is North America’s largest work truck event featuring the newest industry products from hundreds of exhibiting companies, educational programs delivered by experts and opportunities to interact with thousands of industry professionals. The exhibit hall covers more than 500,000 square feet of space with vocational vehicles from Classes 1–8, including chassis, bodies, components, equipment, technology and accessories.

The event began in 1965 as a Sales and Marketing Conference featuring sales workshops and special manufacturer displays. In 1973, it expanded into the D/A (Distributors Association) Convention, known as the truck equipment industry’s annual meeting for distributors, body builders and suppliers.

In 1982, NTEA introduced SUPERSHOW — an expanded truck equipment exposition originally held every other year. T3 — The Commercial Truck, Trailer & Technology Expo debuted in 2000 as the Association’s largest trade show yet. In 2001, the commercial vehicle community experienced the inaugural Work Truck Show, and the event has continued to evolve and innovate in response to industry needs ever since.

Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, The Work Truck Show offers attendees the chance to see the latest work trucks, equipment and products; access industry-specific training courses; and engage with engineering representatives and work truck professionals.

20th anniversary lineup
The Work Truck Show 2020 runs March 3–6 at Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Educational sessions, Green Truck Summit, and Manufacturer and Distributor Innovation Conference begin March 3, and the exhibit hall is open March 4–6.

The main exhibit hall encompasses products from all commercial vehicle industry segments — including chassis, bodies, aerial devices, snow and ice control equipment, accessories and components — with many exhibitors revealing or launching new offerings. In addition, a New Exhibitor Pavilion showcases products from first-time Work Truck Show exhibitors.

Green Truck Summit is an annual event that features intensive programs led by industry experts and fleet managers — covering clean energy trends for commercial vehicles and operational insights for vocational truck fleets.

Manufacturer and Distributor Innovation Conference presenters offer insights on boosting manufacturing efficiency using the latest techniques and technologies. Attendees learn the most innovative tools, processes and resources available and how these solutions are customizable to operations of all sizes.

As part of the 2020 educational program, thought leaders and industry experts will share strategies to help attendees improve efficiency, implement best practices and grow their operations. Key topics address workforce development, chassis OEM updates, market and economic trends, vehicle design and specification, risk mitigation, government regulations, and more.
