VMAC makes 2019 Best Workplaces in manufacturing list

7/31/19

VMAC (Nanaimo, British Columbia)
earned its position within the Great Place To Work’s Best Workplaces™ in Manufacturing, joining the top 11 manufacturing organizations in Canada.

“We’re honoured to be recognized as one of Canada’s top great places to work in manufacturing for 2019, joining other diverse and innovative manufacturers from all over the country. Our amazing team proudly represents the manufacturing sector on Vancouver Island, designing and manufacturing the most innovative compressed air solutions that are exported globally,” said Tod Gilbert, president, VMAC.

To be eligible for the list, organizations in the manufacturing sector must already be Great Place To Work Certified™ in the last 12 months, which requires coworkers to complete a confidential Trust Index Survey©. In the survey, employees must agree over a myriad of criteria that their workplace is a ‘great place to work’. Following this, an additional culture application must be submitted by organizations to be considered for the specialized Best Workplaces™ lists, such as Manufacturing.

This latest Best Workplaces™ in Manufacturing accolade comes at the end of a successful first half of 2019, where VMAC was named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, became Great Place To Work Certified™, and was awarded 2019 Manufacturing Business of the Year at the Business Excellence Awards.

“These continued achievements are a testament to VMAC’s dedicated and talented team, and the quality of business acumen that is present in the manufacturing sector here on Vancouver Island, British Columbia,” notes Gordon Duval, VMAC’s VP of Marketing and Sales. “The Great Place To Work® Certification and inclusion on the Best Workplaces™ in Manufacturing list recognizes VMAC’s extraordinary people-centric culture that has been the backbone of our company’s success.”
