Leo Wieseler passes away


Former NTEA Board Member Leo J. Wieseler Jr. and founder of Truck Equipment, Inc., passed away on April 10, 2019, at 88 years old. 

Wieseler, along with two other associates, started the company in 1970 and served as president for 33 years. He also served in the Army during the Korean War.

He married Margaret Heilmann on January 30, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland. They moved to Omaha, Nebraska, for a few years and then moved to Des Moines in 1958, where they made their home and raised their four children. 

He was a member of St. Mary of Nazareth Catholic Church, St. Boniface Catholic Church, and Knights of Columbus. He served on the NTEA board, taught CCD, coached little league, and was very active in his community.
